Terms of Service

Effective date: 10/15/2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Altre Holdings LLC, doing business as Altre Learning ("Altre Learning," "we," "us"). They apply to our website, free resources, podcast, memberships, courses, community, coaching and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Who can use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account.

2. Important: educational information, not legal advice

Our homeschool regulation guides, law change alerts, commentary, podcast and the Compliance Assistant provide general educational information. They summarize official sources in plain language and link to those sources where possible. They are not legal advice, and using them does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Homeschool laws and their interpretation vary and change. We work to keep our content accurate and current, but we can't guarantee it is complete, error-free or up to date at all times. You are responsible for confirming your requirements with your state education department or other official authority, or with a qualified attorney, before relying on them.

Any AI-powered tools we offer, such as the Compliance Assistant, may produce incomplete or incorrect answers. Treat them as a starting point, not a final authority.

3. Memberships and payments

  • Plans: we offer free and paid membership plans. Current plans, prices and what's included are shown on our Membership page and at checkout.
  • Recurring billing: paid memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge your payment method on each renewal.
  • Price changes: if we change the price of your plan, we will tell you in advance, and the new price will apply from your next renewal after the notice.
  • Features "opening soon": some features are labeled as coming soon. We describe them in good faith, but timing and details may change.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel a paid membership at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges. You'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

5. Refunds

If Altre Learning isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked. After 14 days, payments aren't refundable, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges, and you'll keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. To request a refund, email info@altrelearning.com.

Coaching sessions, done-for-you services (such as the NSW Planning Pack) and other one-time purchases may have their own terms, which will be shown at the time of purchase.

6. Your use of our content

All content in the Services, including guides, videos, podcast episodes, downloads, text and graphics, is owned by Altre Learning or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws.

With an active membership or purchase, you may access and use the content for your own family's personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, share your login, redistribute or publish our member content, or use it to create a competing product, without our written permission.

7. Community and live sessions

If you take part in our member community or live sessions, please be kind and respectful. You agree not to post anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, misleading or spam, or to share other members' personal information. We may remove content or suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules.

You keep ownership of what you post, but you give us permission to display it within the Services. Live sessions may be recorded and shared with members.

8. Third-party links and services

Our Services may link to government websites and other third-party resources. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or availability.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Homeschooling decisions are yours to make, and results vary from family to family.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Altre Learning will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information in the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Ending access

You can stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the Services. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as content ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date, and may notify you by email. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
